OVERVIEW
My project allowed me to continue my recruitment work for Southern Utah University over the three sessions of Summer Semester. I was offered a job to work in the Welcome Center, which is the main recruitment office on campus. The job was only offered to three SUU students and I was able to be one of them. While working at the Welcome Center, I was able to volunteer my time and work with the Summer Recruiting Staff which is a bit different than during the school year. Working with this staff gave me the opportunity to give campus tours, answer information requests, and interact with any prospective students that stepped foot on campus for any special event such as: Summer Games, Governor's Honors Academy, etc.

My name is Kara Oliverson. I am a Senior Elementary Education and Math Education major at Southern Utah University. While attending school at SUU I have also spent my time working for the Presidential Ambassador Organization. This is an organization that specifies in recruitment for the University by: giving campus tours, hosting overnight experiences called RED RIOTS, visiting high school during Utah's College Week. and corresponding with any and all prospctive students who have intrest in attending SUU. I have been apart of the organization since I started at SUU three years ago. I had the opputuniy to serve as Vice President and specify in Tours last year and this year I am serving as the President. I really enjoy helping students pursue a future in Higher Education.

I took pictures thoughout my entire Project. You can scroll through them to the left. The pictures are of me throughout my entire experience at different events and things I got to do. (I was only able to include one picture from a tour since those are a bit harder to take without ruining the overall feel of campus.)
The pictures include: Working in the Welcome Center, a blind plank walk leadership training with North Sevier High School, working on strenght and weaknesses with Uintah High School, presenting to students with our brochures, working a special event (SUMA Grand Opening).
